Repainting Your Appliances

One of the common mistakes home owners do in redesigning and redecorating their kitchen is buying new sets of appliances to match the new look of the kitchen. Although incorporating a theme in your kitchen’s interior design to make it appear livelier and more interesting can add more value into your home, it also tends to be expensive. Especially if your kitchen appliances are of the 1980’s or earlier model, there is a good chance that they are looking as old as they are and that you may feel the urge of buying newer models even if they are still in good working condition. This is can be the expensive part in your whole kitchen updating project.

If what you have are old models of kitchen appliances that are still in good working condition, only browning and fading with old age, and you don’t actually need the additional features newer models have to offer, then perhaps updating how these appliances look would be enough to make their appearance better and more suitable to your kitchen’s new interior design. With just a couple of dollars, you can buy appliance paint which you can apply on your old kitchen appliances to make them look new.

Appliance paint comes in durable, heat resistant finishes that can be applied to almost any kitchen appliances, from microwave ovens to refrigerators. They are not difficult to find since they are available in many hardware and home improvement stores. Appliance paint can be applied with a brush, but for those who are worrying about visible brush strokes, they can also opt for a spray on appliance paint.
